Project Overview
At Al Sharq Plastic Factory, Hi-Tec upgraded the control system on a Fischer & Krecke six-colour printing machine from Siemens S5 to Siemens S7.
Challenge / Project Requirement
The printing machine used a legacy Siemens S5 system and OP 396 HMI. The machine configuration included two winding shafts and two unwinding shafts, making it important to modernize the controls while addressing the existing machine arrangement.
Solution and Technical Scope
Hi-Tec supplied and commissioned a multitasking Siemens S7-400 PLC with an OP77B HMI. The upgrade replaced the previous S5 controller and OP 396 operator interface on the six-colour printing machine.
Project Outcome
