Hi-Tec upgraded three drives on an Optimax extruder machine at NAPCO Modern Plastic Products Company.

The project involved replacing the existing drives on an extruder with a modern Siemens drive platform.
Solution and Technical Scope
The documented system used Siemens SINAMICS S120 power-module drives in 110 kW and 55 kW ratings with a CU320-2DP control unit. The upgraded drives were integrated with the machine's existing B&R PLC.
