Project Overview
Hi-Tec modernized the drive system on the PRESS-03 puller at Al Taiseer Aluminium Company.
Challenge / Project Requirement
The puller used an older Simovert Masterdrive MC drive system that was selected for upgrading.
Solution and Technical Scope
The new configuration specified Siemens SINAMICS S120 PM240-2 with a CU320-2DP control unit and braking resistor. The upgraded drive system was integrated with the existing B&R PLC.
Project Outcome
The project reference associates the modernization with improved line efficiency, minimized downtime and long-term spare-parts and technical-support availability. No measured performance figures were provided.
